Woodlawn Baptist Church has a dynamic, comprehensive and well-staffed Children’s Ministry. The program has been designed to excite and challenge children about who God is and how God can affect their lives.
Children’s Worship continues the Sunday School experience of learning for this age group during the worship service. In addition to age-graded Sunday School, M & M’s (Missions & Music) meets on Sunday evenings and AWANA on Wednesday nights. Annual events include Vacation Bible School. Good News Bible Clubs are sponsored by Woodlawn and conducted once a week after school at Northwood Elementary and Bob Sikes Elementary.
Preschool Ministry
(Birth - Age 5)
The goal of our Preschool Ministry is to touch the lives of these children with God’s love. There are Sunday School classes for every age. Extended session continues the Sunday School learning process for preschoolers during the worship service. Preschoolers can also participate in M & M’s (missions & music) at 6 PM on Sunday nights and AWANA at 6 PM on Wednesday nights.
The Preschool Ministry is under the direction of the Children’s Ministry and the Nursery Committee. Our nursery is staffed by a professional team of qualified workers. We utilize a paging system so the parents of our children can be reached during all worship services.
AWANA is a ministry for children ages 2 through 5th gradeand meets on Wednesday nights at 6 PM in the Life Center
