Benevolence

"For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve..."

Mark 10:45

We strive to meet the needs of people in our community in various ways. We offer food assistance from our food pantry once a month on the 2nd Thursday of the each month, and at other times as needs arise. We also partner with area churches to provide meals as needed for the Cold Night Shelter during colder weather. At the beginning of each school year we host a Back to School drive to hand out school supplies to those in need. We also have a Benevolence Committee that seeks to reach out with the loving hands of Jesus to meet needs within our church family as well as in the community.

Woodlawn Benevolence Ministries

Food Pantry

Our Food Pantry is open on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 10:00-11:00am. When entering from Highway 85 N into our main entrance, our Food Pantry is located through the first glass door in the George Katzman Building for Christian Education. Upon arrival you will be required to sign in and fill out the appropriate paperwork and then volunteers will assist you by providing bags of groceries from the pantry.

Men's Workday

We do a monthly workday on the last Saturday of the month to do yard work, etc for some of our elderly members or single moms who need some help with such things. Please contact the church office if you need assistance.

Cold Night Shelter

Use your unique gifts to help build the Kingdom.

During the Winter months, Woodlawn partners with area churches and the Crestview Area Shelter for the Homeless to provide warm meals on cold nights for the homeless. If you are interested in providing a meal as an individual or Small Group class, please contact Brian Bates using the link below.
