WOODLAWN UNIVERSITY is one of the primary tools by which every member can encounter intense Biblical equipping to go deeper in their understanding of the Christian faith as well as be challenged to discover and develop their spiritual gifts for service in the church and in the community. In order to equip every member, we are developing two ‘certificate’ programs that are in 3 year cycles: a Certificate of Christian Ministry, which would be followed by an Advanced Certificate of Christian Leadership. These are not accredited programs, but they will involve classes that are similar to those offered at Christian universities and seminaries.

We are so excited about how the Lord will use this training program to prepare HIS people to do the work of ministry!

'Certificate' Program Details

CERTIFICATE OF CHRISTIAN MINISTRY:

This program includes classes that will teach some of the basics of the Christian life – things that every member needs to know. We will discuss topics like how to cultivate a daily walk with God, how to share the Gospel with a friend, how to study the Bible, and more. These and many other subjects will be covered in the following classes:

CCM 101 – Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life
CCM 102 – Theology 1
CCM 103 – Theology 2
CCM 104 – Intro to Evangelism (EE or Wed PM visitation)
CCM 105 – How to Study the Bible
CCM 106 – Worshipping Church

Electives:
CCM 107 - Church History 1 (Pre schism)
CCM 108 - Church History 2 (Schism forward)
CCM109 - OT Survey
CCM110 - NT Survey

In addition to the classes for the certificate, we will be offering electives on marriage, parenting, financial stewardship, and more.
